A new short, work-based interactive e-learning programme, incorporating the Resuscitation (UK) Council and EU Guidelines, and created by NHS Resuscitation specialists. The course sets out clearly and memorably through a series of scenarios a sound knowledge and understanding of the essential recognition signs and the procedures to be adopted to address the differing resuscitation techniques, including CPR and the use of AED. In addition to a Pre-Course Tests, the course includes exercises, Self-Assessment and an End-of-Course Assessment with a Certificate for users who obtain the requisite pass mark. 09/CWPD – CARING WELL FOR PEOPLE WITH DEMENTIA

This interactive e-learning course is designed to advance the National Strategy for Dementia (launched in 2009) and will provide learners with the core information needed to care well for a person with dementia, and is notably ‘person-centred’. The course will enable people who find themselves looking after someone with dementia – in the health, community or social care professions or as a relative – to understand the condition and to explore how best to manage it. The Subject Matter Expert is Dr Ann Marshall, OPMH together with expertise from Dementia UK.
