Problems

The first web based versions of EasiLearning courses were made available in 2002 and since then have been used by tens of thousands of trainees. Fortunately during this time there have been very few problems. Here are the most frequently reported issues and the solution:

1. My Certificate of Completion didn’t print

This can happen if for example your printer ran out of paper at the
wrong moment. A manual Certificate can be obtained via your organisation’s
administrator. If you are not sure who this is, drop us an email and we can
point you in the right direction. Remember to let us know who you are and who
you work for and where as we have hundreds of sites.

2. When I click on the link I was given, I just see a blank screen.

This indicates that you do not have Adobe Flash Reader installed on your
computer. All our courses require Adobe Flash Reader Version 9 or later.
Options are:
1) Access from a different PC with Flash V9 or later installed
2) If accessing from home or an NHS site without a fire wall, download the current version free of charge by following the instructions at this link: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer
3) If you need to update a PC at an NHS site with a fire wall installed, you need to go and speak to the IT Help desk

3. I get so far through the course and then get stuck e.g. the drag and drop in one of the assessment questions doesn’t work.

What is happening here is that you accessing the course from a computer with an older version of Adobe Flash Reader. All our courses require Version 9 or later. Much of the course works fine with older versions, but the drag and drop functionality requires a more up to date version.
This can be checked out by ‘right clicking’ anywhere in the course and looking at the ‘About ….’ option which will indicate the version of Adobe Flash installed.

4. I can’t get logged in

In order to log in you must complete all the boxes on the log in screen correctly BEFORE clicking on the SUBMIT button. The password is case sensitive, so please make sure you have entered it correctly. If you are unsure about the password, please contact your own administrator.
If you are not sure who this is, drop us an email and we can point you in the right direction. Remember to let us know who you work for and where.

5. Any other problem

In the first instance please approach your IT Helpdesk or Administrator as they will be able to resolve most queries. If you are not sure who this is, drop us an email and we can point you in the right direction. Remember to let us know who you work for and where.
